Meet Olive.
Olive is my Granny's typewriter - a vintage Italian Olivetti Lettera.
My Granny is 92. She still uses her typewriter to write her letters.
Olive is more than 50 years old.
Actually, you've already met Olive - in my last post.
I have borrowed Olive for my next series - The Storyteller....
based around Polaroid, vintage typewriters and daydreams.
I have another typewriter to introduce to you soon....

I love this picture, the fact that your granny still uses it & has had it for 50yrs is just lovely..
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous is Olive ...and what a special treat for your Granny to let you use her in your photos! Sounds like your Granny is one special lady.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love Olive...what a wonderful idea this series sounds like, Susannah! What I love about vintage pieces like this are the stories behind them which we often lose with time. Your photos will help the story live on.
ReplyDeleteI just knew the next thing was just around the corner for you, I can't wait to see your next body of work. How much do I love Olive, what a fabulous story!
ReplyDeleteMy Grandma used to have a typewriter like Olive. I would spend hours and hours as a child typing away. I have no idea where it ended up, such a shame. Loving the new photos - would be great for a workspace!
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING Susannah!!! I can truly feel this move you have made will make your wings fly high. So beautiful XO
