Beach and textures

{morning light}

{under the blue sky}

It's been a while since I played with textures, I've been so obsessed with polaroids and other projects.
I have missed this part of the creative process.  Working with these Port Fairy beach photos makes me think a trip to the beach is on the cards this weekend.....

Introducing new stackable blocks and magnets

So I used to think the photo blocks were cute...but now I think they are sleek.  And these new adorable little stackable blocks and fridge magnets are oh-so-cute!
I am delighted to be introducing them in sets and singles in both the Etsy and madeit shops over the few days.  Although really I would like to keep them all, and a few have found our way to the fridge and to various shelves around the house.

Even Annabel exclaimed "ohhh, those are cute" when she saw them!

Hearts Day

We're not that big on celebrating Valentine's Day here, but we did think it a lovely excuse to cook together, to get out our favourite {un-ironed} table linen,  and share a glass of wine.  And what Valentine's Day table would be complete without little paper hearts carefully created by 3 year old hands...

I hope however you spent your day, it was doing something you loved!

A new stockist

I think I used up my weekly word quota with yesterday's post, so will keep this short. :)
I am very pleased to announce my first stockist - the brand new Almond Tree Frames in Williamstown.  They have just opened, and I can't wait to pop in this weekend to have a look, there is some gorgeous looking products on the shelves!

This is the start of me offering wholesale and consignment - a wonderful wonderful leap for my little business with big dreams.......

Letting go.....

So many emotions this week - being a full time Mama I have been looking forward to the start of Kinder for a long time....with no family in our city, I am in need of a break....as much as I love being home with my gorgeous little ones full time, it can be, as many of you will know, challenging, tiring, and hard work.

And then the day came, and wow, this is the start of it, the independence from me.  I've been with her nearly every day for the past 3 and a half years - I know what activities she has done, what has challenged her, her moods, what funny and quirky things she has said.  And when she is sleeping peacefully I tell Shannon all about our day - the joy, the trials.  Was I ready for this moment, when we set off down the drive, to leave her in the care of the lovely Kinder teachers, to not know what she will be doing, how she is feeling?  I was.  I am.  She is so determined, so confident, so eager for the next stage, I know she will love it.

Yet I still wanted to do as many special things as I could to celebrate this time, for both of our memories.  It feels like a huge letting go stage.
So she wore a flower in her hair, and her favourite ballerina skirt, I wrote in her special book, and took some polaroids.  What a big week for us.
