It's school holidays here, and that means I have a little helper.  While Otis sleeps, I work away at my desk,  and this little girl works in her favourite spot in the warm winter sun, using all the 'scraps' to make her own creations.  It makes for a lovely afternoon.

five...

We reached a milestone this week.  Annabel turned 5. 

And with that came the first day of school...

and so many emotions I wasn't expecting.   

As we walked away from school, 

I left another little piece of my heart with her...

and cried all the way home.

together we will touch the sky...

Everytime we see something up in the sky - 

a plane...a cloud...the moon...a star...the sun...a bird.....

my little Otis reaches up as far as he can stretch his little arms, 

looks at me with such hope, and asks 'touch'? 

He wants to touch the sky.  

And the birds, the sun, the moon, the stars, the planes.  
The hot air balloons...they are his favourite of all.
