and new little animals.

My daughter loves the hedgehog photo,

my son loves the dinosaur.

Both have asked for one for their room.

Winter so far

has been mild and lovely,

with blue skies,

day trips out to the beach or the fields.

It's been so sunny the blossoms have started,

very early yes, but I am not complaining.

I am keeping my fingers crossed

that the next 2 months of Winter

are just as mild and lovely.

I finally got round to making up samples 

of the teal, turquoise and bright blue beach typography photos from this past summer.

As you can imagine, 

being a lover of blue skies, the beach, adventures and the sun,

these are my new favourites.

Chase the Sun

This summer has been all about chasing the sun.

We haven't seen it that often;

after our fabulously hot and sunny spring 

that had us swimming at the outdoor pool in November,

we all thought we were in for another long hot summer.

However, it feels like we are waiting for it to arrive.

When we do have the hot sunny days, 

we chase the sun,

to the coast,

to the beach,

to the pool.

When it streams in through the windows at various times of the day

I find the kids turning their faces to it,

or sitting in the sunniest chair to soak up the warmth.

Sunshine,

please show us your gorgeous rays.

We love you so.

2013 - in Instagram

I had hoped to post this yesterday,

but the day got away on me. 

These photos are from Instagram,

and I made myself choose 

one from each month of 2013.

It was hard to pick just one,

but each of these sums up how I felt about that month.

It's funny looking back on a year in pictures,

things that felt so long ago weren't actually,

and vice versa.

I am so grateful to Instagram, 

and the ability we have with modern technology 

to capture our moments.

2013, you were fun.

The highlight (in adventure terms)

would have to be our trip to Melbourne,

to visit family, and see Of Monsters and Men play.

I wonder what adventures 2014 will bring?

The Quirky Cameras - 2014 calendar

  

 

 

 

Once inspiration struck,

{whilst watching little ones play},

I simply could not resist creating this calendar.

Featuring 12 very quirky images,

incorporating old maps, vintage cameras, 

and the odd appearance of an animal.

Each month is a 4x6" photo, 

so when the month is over you have a 4x4" photo

to frame or stick to your little ones wall with Japanese Washi tape 

(a favourite way to decorate in our house lately).

This year is racing by....

Quirky Cameras

Otis has a very quirky sense of humour,

which makes us all laugh.

These new vintage camera images were inspired by him,

and will be featured in a 2014 calendar.

One thing I love is creating the Calendars.

There is something just so delightful about putting together

These calendars are such a great way of receiving an instant collection of photos.

When the month is over you simply cut the bottom date section off

and you have a 4x4" photo to frame, 

stick to the fridge,

peg to an inspiration wire,

slip into your diary.... 

They also make great presents for the holidays!
